Hey, I just watched “Jesus Cam to save Us” and enjoyed your lesson. I do, however, think your reference to sin has been mis characterized, some. When Jesus expressed anger in the temple, it was a “righteous” anger. The people turned the temple into a market of financial prophet. John 2:16,17 After Jesus drove out the greedy money makers His disciples remembered the Old Testament saying “Zeal for Your (God’s) house will consume me”. So out of zeal for His Father’s house he drove out the market people. James 1:20 tells us that “human anger” does not produce the righteousness that God desires. In Ephesians 4:26 we read “in your anger do not sin”. and in Matthew 5:22 he tells us “anyone angry is subject to judgement”. Anger usually cones from jealously or pride. Someone does or says something that we don’t agree with and we get angry. It can usually be tied to one of these two. You were equating sin to excessive anger, lust, greed etc. The Bible does not say that sin is only present when we do one of these in excess. When it comes to adultery it is said in Matt 5:28 that when anyone looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery, with her, in his heart. It does not say excessive lusting. I agree, when you say drinking is ok if not in access, and the same goes for eating or even gambling as it is a form of entertainment, but I don’t believe this applies in most areas as I demonstrated with bible references. This is probably a better conversation by voice but I think you said that we should leave comments open so others can take part in the discussion. It sounds like a lot but overall your teaching on Jesus saving us is quite good!
